Sean Collins, PhD, CSCS*D, is a Professor of Exercise Physiology at the University of Lynchburg and holds a Master of Science and a Doctorate in Exercise Physiology from Springfield College. Has been a dedicated member of the NSCA, serving as the Virginia State Director from 2013 to 2018, earning the State/Provincial Director of the Year award in 2017, and as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Coordinator until 2024. He continues to remain active with the Membership and Education Committees. Dr. Collins researches sports performance and load monitoring and management, focusing on field sports such as lacrosse and soccer. He is responsible for the ERP at the University of Lynchburg and teaches courses in strength and conditioning, advanced exercise physiology for undergraduate and graduate students, and research methods and student projects. He currently heads up the University of Lynchburg Sports Science Program.
