Dr. Thomas Gus Almonroeder, PT, DPT, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Trine University (Fort Wayne, IN). Dr. Almonroeder's scholarly agenda primarily focuses on identifying neuromuscular factors that contribute to acute and overuse lower extremity injury among active individuals, such as athletes, recreational and competitive runners, and tactical athlete populations (e.g., military personnel and firefighters). He also investigates the effects of novel forms of movement pattern re-training, such as real-time visual feedback, with the goal of minimizing high-risk movement patterns.
