Roisin Murphy is a recent magna cum laude graduate from Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania, where she majored in Sports Medicine with a concentration in Exercise Science. Roisin was a 4-year scholarship tennis athlete at Mercyhurst. She received scholar athlete awards from the Pennsylvania State Athletic conference (PSAC) every year that she competed for Mercyhurst (2021-2025).
Murphy is presently preparing to take the NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) exam. Roisin's research interests include determining the influence of fatigue on serve velocity and accuracy in NCAA Division 1 male and female tennis players. Roisin has experienced several applied internships across the country, and, professionally, she aspires to utilize her evidence-based knowledge and critical understanding of the exercise science evidence to create and implement individually-based training programs to manage injury risk in competitive athletes.
