Farmchan Saechao is a recent graduate at Syracuse University. She has been an intern in the Syracuse University Neuromuscular Physiology Laboratory (NPL) for two years, assisting in participant recruitment, data collection, and analysis under the mentorship of Dr. Kylie Harmon. Her unwavering commitment to research resulted in her being named the NPL Undergraduate Lab Director for 2024-2025. Her recent project was supported by a Syracuse Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Engagement (SOURCE) Bridge Award. She was the recipient of the Department of Exercise Science Undergraduate Research Excellence Award for 2024-2025.
During her time in the NPL, Farmchan has presented her data at four conferences and is an author on two manuscripts in preparation. After graduation, she plans to continue her studies at Syracuse University in the Exercise Science Master of Science. Her research interests include neuromuscular mechanisms, neural interventions, and strength and conditioning. She plans to pursue a PhD.
