Graduate student
Point Loma Nazarene University
My name is Noel Cordero. I'm a United States Navy veteran, and I'm CSCS and TSAC-F certified through the NSCA. I graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's in Exercise Science. I'm currently a graduate strength coach at Point Loma Nazarene University, a coach at Electrum Performance, and an intern with the San Diego Legion. I work primarily with baseball, golf, mixed martial arts, jiu-jitsu, and rugby athletes. My abstract is about whether stronger rugby players, measured by an isometric mid-thigh pull test and countermovement jump, differ from weaker players. It aimed to see how strength levels relate to different metrics to determine which qualities matter most for lower-body power in rugby. My graduate thesis is the Relationship Between 3D Motion Capture Striking Biomechanics and Key Performance Indicators of Mixed Martial Arts Athletes.
