Sally Paulson, PhD, ATC, CSCS*D, is an Instructional Associate Professor in the Department of Health and Human Performance at the University of Houston. Before joining the university, she served as a Research Coordinator at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Arkansas, and held faculty positions at Shippensburg University and Mount St. Joseph University. Dr. Paulson earned her Bachelor's degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Detroit Mercy and completed a Master of Arts in Athletic Training Education at California State University, Chico. She earned her doctoral degree in Kinesiology from the University of Arkansas. Her research interests center on biomechanics, fall prevention, and functional fitness in older adults. In addition to her scholarly contributions, Dr. Paulson actively serves on the NSCA Foundation Grant Committee. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys traveling and cherishing quality time with her family and friends.
