Sam R. Moore, PhD, CSCS*D, USAW is an applied sport scientist and Assistant Professor of Sport Data Analytics at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Moore recently graduated with her PhD in Exercise Physiology from UNC-Chapel Hill's School of Medicine where she worked in the Applied Physiology Laboratory under the direction of Dr. Abbie Smith-Ryan. Her research interests center around integrating laboratory and field-based methodologies for female athlete sport science innovations to improve health and performance for girls and women across the lifespan. Dr. Moore's scholarly record demonstrates a strong commitment to both research and translation, having successfully published 23 peer-reviewed articles, in addition to over 60 peer-reviewed abstract presentations at regional and national conferences. Prior to Carolina, Sam was with the NC State Wolfpack from 2019-2021 as the Director of Sport Science and Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach; the first woman to serve in this role in the NCAA.
