Graduate Research Assistant

Conor Horlock is a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Connecticut, currently working toward his PhD in Nutritional Sciences. He holds a Master of Science in Strength and Conditioning from Loughborough University and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Health and Exercise Science (with professional placement) from the University of Bath.
His research interests include load monitoring, dietary assessment, concussion in contact sports, omega-3 status, body composition assessment, and nutritional interventions to support recovery in athletes.
Conor has gained applied experience in both performance analysis and strength and conditioning through internships with Gloucestershire County Cricket and Loughborough University Men’s Performance Rugby. He also served as a strength and conditioning coach for the Loughborough Lightning Centre of Excellence Rugby Program. He is currently supporting the UConn Men’s Rugby team, assisting with athlete monitoring and performance programming.
