Graduate Assistant
The University of Alabama
My name is Andrew Fields, and I am a 3nd-year Ph.D. student in Kinesiology at the University of Alabama. I graduated with my Bachelor's in Exercise Science from the University of Nebraska - Kearney, where I ran cross-country and track for four years. My passion for endurance performance began there and thrived throughout my Master's in Human Performance at Liberty University. It was there that I decided to focus my energy on pursuing a career in academia and research, and I was given the opportunity to attend the University of Alabama for my PhD. My primary research interests include the use of HRV for predicting and assessing training adaptation and recovery, psychophysiological responses to competitive environments during performance, and elite endurance performance.
