Jeremy Ross is an Assistant Research Professor with the University of Kentucky's Sports Medicine Research Institute, based remotely in Texas. A 5-year veteran of the United States Army, Jeremy served in the 82nd Airborne Division for two combat tours in Afghanistan where he gained an interest in occupation-specific military fitness and injury prevention. Jeremy attended the University of Texas and earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Education and a master's in Sport Science and Nutrition. He attained a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Kentucky, where his dissertation was entitled Investigating Non-Functional Overreachingin Special Operations Tactical Training. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified Performance and Sport Scientist with distinction (CPSS*D). He currently works on Department of Defense funded research grants related to human performance and injury risk management in war fighters.
