Dr. Jen Fields is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Connecticut, where she serves as the Director of the Sport Nutrition & Body Composition Lab. She earned her PhD in 2020 in Kinesiology from George Mason University, where her research focused on optimizing athlete health through comprehensive load monitoring programs in NCAA Division I athletes. Dr. Fields’ research bridges the topics of sports nutrition and sport science, with dual focuses on the role of nutrition in improving recovery, body composition, and bone health, as well as on load monitoring strategies to enhance long-term athlete health and sport performance. Dr. Fields is passionate about bridging the gap between research and practice, and enjoys working with athletes to support their health and performance both on and off the field.
